TheSkilledWorker.net hosts an ever-growing resource center filled with links to aid you in your career and education, as well as links to resources depending on your location!
TheSkilledWorker.net was born out of the idea that everyone in this nation has the right to access resources to become self-sufficient individuals. In these tough economic times, it is imperative that the United States comes together to ensure that this idea can become a reality.
Originally conceptualized as a documentary on education, The Skilled Worker has grown into a hub of information that can assist any individual in understanding how the educational and workforce system works not only nationally, but globally as well. Through continuous interviews, relevant media, documentation, resources, community partnership and self-intiative, we can all become globally competent individuals.
As President Barack Obama stated in his inauguration address, "Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin the work of rebuilding America."
This message is a call to action: the power to change and improve is not in the hands of our politicians. The power to change is in you.
As this site grows, more resources and information will become available to the public.
You can be a part of this change in several ways. Join the Forums and help build an online community of individuals interested in education, workforce development, reform, and a slew of other topics.
Share this site with your friends and family. The more people become aware, the more people receive the help they need.
Contact me directly with information that may assist others in becoming globally competent or aware of valuable resources. If you or someone you know can share knowledge either through interview (which will be featured on the site) or simply making me aware of local, state or national resources, I will gladly add it to the site.
Donate so I can keep this website going, as well as fund my journey across the state of North Carolina, - and eventually the nation - to interview, gather information and conduct important research that can aid America in becoming a skilled, sustainable country. Even $1 can make a difference, and your donation will make you a partner of TheSkilledWorker.net.
